Liam Penn Guest Chef Pop Up Dinner
An exciting vegan menu from a chef with the most impressive pedigree! He calls himself “a food chemist” with a CV that includes Michelin stars galore. The Assembly House is delighted to welcome back Liam Penn for a very special vegan pop-up. This was one of the stand-out highlights of last year’s festival, with all attendees requesting a return… so we have delivered!
Liam trained in France before moving to North Norfolk where he headed the kitchen at The Art Café. His next kitchen was acclaimed London vegetarian restaurant Vanilla Black before a stint at two-Michelin star L’Enclume in Cumbria. Here his foraged treasures of wild juniper, gorse, garlic and mushrooms and the vegetables he grew featured prominently on menus. Liam added another star to his belt with a move to The Fat Duck, Heston Blumenthal’s legendary three-star restaurant which is widely considered to be one of the best restaurants in the world. Liam, who considers Norfolk to be his home from home, will be presenting a five-course tasting menu packed with exciting flavours.
